Zig Ziglar and Anthony Robbins both reference a mythical study from Yale where 1953 graduates were surveyed 20 years after graduation. They found that 3% of them had earned more money and had accomplished more than the other 97% COMBINED. Daily, the top 3% had acutally written down their goals and evaluated them daily. The details of this mythical story may vary a bit but the point is well made. By reviewing their goals daily, this allowed the top 3% to maintain focus on their goals. Ok, great, what does this mean to you and I?
Last week, I re-learned the value of daily review of my written goals. Three weeks ago I watched, The 10 Goal Method, which is a great goal setting training by Brian Tracy and since it was the new year, I put his training to work. I committed to paper some very important goals that I wanted to achieve. I had set both professional and personal goals that mean a lot to me. The first few weeks I was doing great, meaning that I would get up early in the morning take them out look them over, I’d made a few tweaks and would use those goals to help plan out my day and my week. Man, I felt like I was really making some great strides.
Then…last week.
My wife, Erin, and I took a couple days during the middle of the week to get away with some friends for a little rest and relaxation. You can probably guess what happened, right? I lost my rhythm and stopped taking the time to look over and review my goals daily. My attention to my goals got diverted. Although we had a great time, I fell back into some bad habits.
The poor habits that I developed over the couple of days came home with me. The snooze button became a favorite and my goals stayed in my folder. Even though I knew that had lost focus I didn’t do anything about it. I began to see myself as less worthy, as the downward spiral began, I wasn’t following through on what I said I was going to do. No surprise, I began to lose focus on my goals that had been so important to me just weeks prior.
Sensing my lack of inspiration, Erin and I had a talk about my lack if motivation for the upcoming week. She pointed out that I hadn’t been getting up early like I had been to review my goals and to plan out my week/day. Par for the course, she was right. So, I grabbed my goal sheet and re-charged by batteries. Here I am, early Monday morning, typing this post I have a clearer focus and feel empowered.
What I’ve re-learned from this process is that when I actually take the time to write down my goals, those things that really matter to me, and review them on a daily basis then I feel empowered. I feel much more self-assured. I feel like I deserve to hit my goals. Clarity is the name of the game. I know exactly what it is that I want and am taking the steps to make them real. When I didn’t those precious few minutes daily, I wandered around throughout the day, got a few things done but didn’t have the same sense of purpose. However, now I’ve made the CHOICE to become focused by having the discipline to look over my goals and to take daily action toward achieving them. My level of confidence has grown and I feel empowered to achieve.
This is why written goals are so important. When used properly they are a great tool to get back on track, to straighten out the rudder. If you haven’t read the 10 Goal Method, Google “Ian Fitzpatrick 10 Goal Method” read it or re-read it, like I just did, to learn some goal setting basics. When you do and apply these principles, you’ll be giving yourself more power and control toward accomplishing your dreams.
Ian Fitzpatrick is considered a master trainer and business builder. He wrote this Written Goals article to help those in MLM. Ian teaches people how to generate 50-150 free leads daily.
Using Social Networking Websites to Promote Your Online Website
Posted on | February 5, 2010 | No Comments
A large number of Internet users run their own personal websites, but others run their websites as a way to make money. Of course, any website owner wishes to promote their online website, but those who rely on their websites for income are more willing to. Whichever type of website you have, did you know that you could help to promte it with online social networking websites?
If you are wondering how and why you should use social networking websites to promote your online website, you are not alone. A fairly substantial numbers of Internet users aren’t even sure what social networking sites are or how they work. Online social networking websites are like online communities. They give Internet users an easy and fairly harmless way to come together. Many social networking websites are planned to make it easier for you to search for and make contact with other Internet users, especially those that you have something in common with.
With a fairly large number of social networking websites, including MySpace, having over a millions users, there is a good chance that you could not only make new friends, but find Internet users that would be interested in visiting your online website, especially if that website is your personal website. When joining an online networking population, you should be given your own profile page. On this page you could not only describe yourself, your online website. By mentioning what your personal online webpage is all about and providing a link, you should receive a number of new visitors.
As previously mentioned, social networking websites can help all website owners, but especially those who are looking to make a profit with their websites. This can be done one of two ways, by advertising something or by relying on revenue from advertising. If you have a website that selling products or services, you may find it a little bit easier to use social networking sites to your advantage. This is because, if you wish, you could do product or service spotlights. Each day, week, or month, you could showcase one of the products or services that your website sells. This could either be done right on your profile page or on a blog page, which is provided by most social networking websites.
If you are using your online website to make money with promotion programs, such as affiliate programs or Google Adsense, you may need to approach social networking websites in a different matter. Since you will not necessarily have a particular product or service to focus on, you will need to approach these websites as if they were individual websites. If your website discusses being a dog owner, it may be a good idea to state your love for dogs in your profile. After doing so, it would be acceptable and not necessarily considered spam to add a link to your online website. As with all other types of online websites, social networking websites should help to increase the number of page views your website receives. In a large amount cases, more page views mean more clicks which means cash for you.
As you can easily see, there are a number of diverse ways that you can promote your online website, no matter what type of website you have or what you use it for. By keeping the above mentioned points in mind, you should be able to see an boost in your page views, in no time at all.

Six Steps to Stellar Copy Writing
Posted on | January 25, 2010 | No Comments
What is Creative Copywriting Anyways?
Copywriting is quite unpretentious and can be explained in 13 words. Quite simply, it’s the capability to write words that makes people want to give you money.
There are many distinct kinds of copywriting. You could be writing copy on your blog, in ads and a whole slew of other places. When people first get started writing, I feel that they go after the big traffic without realizing the competition that sits there. They try being someone other than who they are- to attract the people that they want to be. Throw that one around your brain for a bit.
You want to attract people that you are comfortable with. I can connect to that as when I first got started online and was trying to make a living doing it, I felt that I had to be someone I was not. Ever hear the term “fake it until you make it?” That was me. Did it work and did I attract the folks that I wanted? Not at all.
I was uncomfortable with the audience I was trying to attract to me. Therefore it came through in my writing.
Your audience wants to feel understood. You have to appease them. They want to know that they mean something to you. This is where the creative copywriter works his charisma. He starts right where someone is at and sits where they want to be. Then, you build a bridge that brings your prospect to their sweet spot.
Ok. Before we go there you need to learn how to get someones attention. These are some of the closest guarded secrets to the creative copywriter so pay attention
Here are 6 ways to get your prospects attention.
1. Lead with their challenge – Stay away from the word and letter “I”. Dont write about yourself. You want to know the problems of your target market. What’s their pain point. You want to talk about that pain in your copywriting. Let your audience know that you feel it.
2. Question Their Beliefs – When I think about questioning beliefs I think of reading the “Enquirer”. You want to make people think and rattle them a little.
3. Be Entertaining – It is said that if you cant capture someones attention within the first sentence of your copywriting, you have lost them and it’s not very likely that your prospect will read on. Pitch some humor into your writing and make someone laugh a little. Fun copy goes a long way.
4. Be Enlightening – A creative copywriter will distribute a revelation in his prose. This, like nothing else will engage your prospect.
5. Be Curious – Pulling on someones curiosity in your copy pulls them closer to you. Everyone wants to know more. Curiousity killed the cat but wont kill your copy.
6. Be Contraversial- Why do you think the Enquirer magazine is so popular? People love controversy and if you can feed them creative controversial copy, you’ll have them hooked. Stay away from the ordinary old that everyone else does in their copywriting.
The creative copywriter is constantly improving and testing his copy. It’s an ongoing learning process that never ends. Even the best of the best of copywriters like Frank Kern or Joe Vitale are constantly working on themselves and their skill set.

Time Management Techniques in Business
Posted on | January 21, 2010 | No Comments
Why is Time Management Important? Why should we recognize that time is a gift? Because the most major difference between the prosperous and the poor is the valuing of time. When driving through a ghetto one might see healthy men and women sitting outside on the steps simply talking for hours. There would be garbage strewn about and disorder would be rampant. They’ve chosen to invest their time talking while the prosperous are hard at work.
A major difference exists between the poor, the pauper and the prosperous. That difference is the management of time. You must be persuaded concerning the value of time if you intend on changing your financial worth. 24 hours each day are given to the poor. And 24 hours each day are given to the rich. Both are given the same gift from God…24 hours a day. Each and every person has received the same amount of time. The outcome relies on how you choose to invest your time.
Here is your time management lesson plan:
* You will find that anything significant in your life will require the investment of time.
* It’s possible to increase the mistakes in your life when hurrying too much.
* Investing time in preparation will abundantly multiple your reward.
* Every time you make an appointment with someone your attitude toward time is revealed. Not only does precision communicate your respect for time but punctuality extends the message that time matters to you.
* It is your responsibility to train those around you to respect your time. You do so by respecting their own time as well.
* It will always require the investment of time to execute a successful negotiation. Those who overcome the temptation to hurry…always control the transaction.
Now let’s go over a few time management techniques in business.
1. It is of the utmost importance to keep a list of your goals in front of you at all time. What you see will determine what you pursue.
2. It is important to establish a time limit for each appointment or goal. Instead of saying “I will see you around 2:00?, set the appointment for 2:00 – 2:20. Precision electrifies any environment.
3. Be in constant forward motion toward your next appointment or goal.
4. Be sure to mark those who consistently disrespect your time. When someone does not respect your time they will not respect your wisdom either.
Why is time management important?…When you recognize that time truly is a gift you will learn to manage it wisely. Your productivity will multiple, your financial worth will increase and every moment of your relationships will be more valuable.

The Idiot’s Guide To Marketing On Facebook: 7 Simple Steps To Help You Avoid “The Slap
Posted on | January 20, 2010 | No Comments
One of the greatest mis-uses of facebook is the incessant spamming…
Add a friend, and here it comes… the beast A.K.A the “endless stream of unsolicited offers”. These come often and unwanted, not unlike in-laws.
After that… they start sending you farmville requests, mafia war requests, and endless streams of useless, applications imaginable. I clean out my in-box every day of useless spam. And I refuse to impose “the beast” on others.
So, how can you make your time on facebook (or any other social networking site) efficient and profitable?
There are countless means and methods, and applications you can use that will make your mind swim. Here are some basics – the proven methods that don’t require re-invention of the wheel to get you started.
I’ll assume you’ve already set up your profile page with photos and info. This is what comes next.
1. The #1 Rule of engagement… don’t endlessly promote your business. Never, ever lead with your business opportunity. Your posts must give value that makes you stand out from the rest. Provide a 95% give away, and 5% take away. Give away valuable information, and then invite your readers to learn more by visiting your web-sites.
If your plan of facebook action is to endlessly push your ACN, or Trump Network, or MonaVie opportunity -or whatever other business you belong to, MLM or otherwise – you’ll get passed by, reported and likely slapped. Your lame attempts to build your MLM will be spit out before you see any return.
Realize this: People dont’ want to buy anything from you! They want a relationship – a face and a personality with whom they can build trust before they decide to buy anything.
2. It can be assumed you use facebook to network, and to that means you have to create a friend list. You don’t want to do this to aggressively – maybe 40-50 friend request per day. I’m not a big fan of automated programs like FriendBlasterPro. You can get flagged for too fast and/or too much activity, and repeat offenses lead to the slap.
Include a personal message in your friend requests. This slows the process down a little so you’re not as noticeable to facebook’s detection system. Copy and paste your messages, add the person’s first name, and ask them to respond on your profile page…
3. Where to find friends. As I work within network marketing, you might think the first place to seek friends is any group with a interest in network marketing. Wrong! Look for other entrepreneurial sites and fan pages. Less saturation there, and many of them are fellow networkers.
Find an author like Napoleon Hill’s fan page and begin there. Think of other books people with similar interests might like, and find a fan page, then follow step 2. Make a personal connection, build a relationship, and offer value in the way of education, training, words of wisdom, inspiration… it’s your call based on how you choose to brand yourself.
4. Video tagging. Not many people know how to use videos on facebook, but they are the most powerful means of creating a bond. If a picture is worth a thousand words, whats a video worth? Taking 30 seconds to introduce yourself and your personality makes you stand out in the crowd of people just typing messages. You want to be noticed, videos will do that.
5. Find your niche, build a group and invite people to join. The biggest advantages to managing your own group is that you are now in the position of marketing guru, and you can send messages to your entire group, instead of one at a time like the struggling masses you are emerging from.
This is a great place to advertise your affiliates from. Remember, as the leader of the group, you’re the one who knows the most. A lot of your suggestions will get noticed and you’ll find your affiliate commissions will increase significantly.
6. Market events. When you have webinars, and/or company webinars, you can send out event invitations to your group. If you’re using an auto-responder you’ll want to create a new campaign for events and have people sign up for those via that campaign opt-in form. This puts them into your lead funnel.
7. Keep committed. There is much to learn on marketing, and you must stay committed to the effort for several months before you start to see much response. Remember, you’re offering value, and building relationships. That will take time.
I’ve seen too many people start up, spend 2-3 weeks at it with little result and give up. If Rome wasn’t built in a day, neither will your marketing platform. Be prepared to work hard at your marketing for a minimum of 6 months – a year is better.
I purposely didn’t get into other facebook advertising methods, like connecting twitter to your facebook account to automate your tweets, using bookmarks, or paid advertising. Such methods are more advanced, and you need to learn to swim before you jump into the deep end. They’ll be there when you’re ready.
The basics will expand your following by generating your value in the eyes of your connections. Always keep in mind what facebook is for: creating and building relationships first. Be a resource, a sounding board and attract people to you.

Say Yes to Internet Article Marketing
Posted on | January 18, 2010 | No Comments
Would you believe that internet article marketing is wide open for the taking. Lots have heard about article marketing but not many really understand it. There are various ways to use internet article marketing to help you.
Writing an informative article about something that is related to your website content, service, or product, then mass submitting it to article submission or free content websites.
Creating links in your author bio section or footer will guarantee that every article you submit is linking back to you whether it be a website or blog. This is creating one-way inbound links even though many of these websites are NOT related to your product, service or website content. That is ok. I will explain later.
Additionally, those article directories are linked to thousands of websites all across the internet. Your article will appear within the site and it’s very likely that many other links will accompany your links in resource box. This will further diminish the value of your article.
It is worth the effort. Those inbound links will definitely not hurt you and will help some, but the goal of submitting your article to all of those article directories is so that other Webmasters and Bloggers can find your articles.
What will happen over time is that these webmasters and bloggers will use your article in a website or Blog that is related to your content. When they do this you are accomplishing a lot. These links are very valuable one-way inbound links and they carry a tremendous amount of weight with search engines such as Google.
Writing exclusive articles for high-traffic websites.
This is really where the rubber meets the road sort of speak. It really is a way to polish your article marketing to enhance your search engine rankings. Your link popularity will go through the roof. You’ll also get some traffic from those who read your article.
So if you want to move to the next level you must polish up your writing style. Writing an informative article that is grammatically correct is very important. Your articles also need to be between 500-700 words.
If your stating facts it is imperative that your providing referance and acknowledge quotes to support theories and opinions. There is a very fine line when article marketing. Doing this will help you illustrate that the information is correct. These articles require much more research.
Once you have your article written, offer it as an exclusive article to just one high-traffic website where their topic is related to your content, products, or services. This article will be seen by many if it is accepted and you will see a direct result in the amount of traffic you get from just one article submitted to just one website.
I will offer one last way to use article marketing effectively. Writing the article as you would an exclusive article as mentioned above for another website and putting it into your own website.
This takes a bit of work but it well worth it. When your article is finally written post it on your website. Now take that link directly to the article page and start posting in forums. After you do this start commenting on blogs that are related to the topic of your article. Now pay attention here. Use the link to that article page in your sig. line or as a referance if you find people discussing exactly what your article is about.
By using the article to help others, you will find they will want to see what else you have at your website. By linking it in your sig. line, you also increase link popularity for that page and for your website. Make sure that the rest of your website is linked from the page you put the article into and it can even help your website get crawled by the search engine spiders.
Internet article marketing takes work and patience but is one of the most powerful ways to get free traffic to your website.

Don’t Make These 4 Frequent Online Affiliate Mistakes!
Posted on | January 13, 2010 | No Comments
Myths concerning affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive especially with today’s economical conditions. People who do not know the entire system are prone to believing that it is something capable of earning them great fortunes overnight. Most internet newbies dream about the quick and easy fortunes to be made in online affiliate marketing. And while these stories are as true as they can be, there are many who believe that they are going to have the same fortune once they enter in this particular business.
It is true enough that internet affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have gone through everything to be able to succeed in this business are reaping in the rewards now. Many of them enjoy the kind of life-style that was not possible for them under ordinary circumstances. Having gone through the ups and downs of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that there is absolutely no quick money in it. It takes time and proper education to succeed as a affiliate marketer. Finding value added training will save you both time and money in the long run.
Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are people who fail miserably in the online business. They do not know that most noteworthy affiliate markters have probably wasted time, effort and too many resources early in their online affiliate marketing career.
What may be the reason why in businesses such as affiliate marketing, many are called but few are chosen? Perhaps the answer lies on the fact that many new affiliates make mistakes that result from their ignorance of facts concerning how the entire business runs. Affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant’s goods through his website and getting paid for it. It is also about knowing the market and the buyers at hand.
Detecting what the most common mistakes new affiliates make will be essential in ramping up their internet affilate career. It might also be able to make those concerned understand that like any other business, there are do’s and don’ts involved in this one if they want to make each of their steps count.
The first common mistake affiliates make is their lack of knowledge concerning principles involved in their business. This refers to the affiliate’s knowledge of search engines in particular. Affiliate marketing involves specialized marketing, and advertising through the internet could not have been better without the existence of online search engines. What every affiliate has to do is to make these search engines his best friend. This is accomplished through finding valuable training that can teach you the basics of search engine optimization (SEO). This way, he/she is able to know what to do in connection with building a better websites to ultimately drive more traffic.
The second is that affiliates make the mistake of stuffing their sites with banners that do not provide enough information about the product at hand. The best way to battle this mistake is to provide good content hand-in-hand with such banners. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of the product you are promoting, and good content will be able to help them realize this goal. A well informed customer will have a higher chance of becoming a paying customer.
The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of advertising only one product. Consequently, customers are not given enough options to choose from. Customers like the power to choose. It is always better to give them a few better alternatives than to give them only one. Just be sure you are an affiliate of every product you place on your site.
The fourth is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting too many products. Doing this can make your website too “busy”. As a result, customers get confused and end up not making a choice. Confusion leads to indecision and more than likely a purchase will not be made. It is perhaps good to give them only the best choices. This is because it is ultimately up to them to judge which one is the best for them to patronize.
All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not exert enough effort to understand everything involved in the business that they are in. Knowing their path step by careful step will prove to be beneficial to them, as there is no other way to succeed than to go through any path slowly but surely.
Lastly, in order to be successful online, you must begin and continue any and all education/training you can get your hands on. Never go a day without learning something new about your business. Following this basic rule will have its rewards in the future.

My First Week Marketing on Twitter
Posted on | January 13, 2010 | No Comments
Twitter is a beast! For the past 18 months or so, I sat on the sidelines and watched as this social phenomenon skyrocketed to the forefront of the web. I actually registered back in the day, followed 2 people and sent 2 tweets. Then I let my profile sit idle for a long time because I just didn’t get it. I didn’t see the big picture or really the value that Twitter could bring to my business. A host of new software and websites dedicated to educating you and automating your Twitter experience, I was excited to jump back into the game. Armed with a powerful strategy, my intention now is to use Twitter in a very big way to gain profit for my business.
To start off with, in case you’ve just heard of the word twitter but don’t actually know what it is, here is my take. Imagine Facebook’s “status update” box at the top where you can tell your friends what you’re doing, thinking, or whatever is on your mind. So Twitter is basically just that status update box, linked to many other people that they call “followers”. See you follow others (following) and others follow you (followers). You can send out a message to them called a tweet, and they’ll get an automatic feed on their twitter homepage or even their mobile device. Savvy business owners and entrepreneurs have jumped onto Twitter because they see the power in being able to instantaneously communicating with thousands of people who may eventually have an interest in buying a product or service from them. There is a certain way that Twitter needs to be used if your plan is to use it for business. Otherwise, your tweets will be quickly deleted and you’ll be “unfollowed” by people if they think you are misusing the site.
See, Twitter can be an amazing business tool if used properly. I was a little shocked at how many people I received messages from in the first week that were basically spam. Poorly written or designed tweets that were blatentley self-promotional. Without even saying hello, nice to meet you, they would send out a link telling me that they could help me with some product or service. On Facebook, there is a limit to the number of friends you can add. They cap you at 5,000. On Twitter, I know some people who have 10 times that number of followers. There are some celebrities with 100 times that! For my marketing, I’ve decided to keep my Facebook profile pretty “quiet” in terms of placing status updates that are self-promotional, or ones with links to a site that I would profit. Since most of my Facebook friends are truly just my friends and family, and I have no interest in bombarding them with advertisements everyday, let alone 50 times per day. With Twitter, there is a way to add thousands of followers and systematically send them dozens of messages everyday and the crazy thing is, most of them will welcome these messages!
With Twitter, a powerful phenomenon comes into play called leverage. The concept of leverage in business has one basic meaning: Using as little of something as possible to gain financially as much as possible. A good example that most can relate to would be in the real estate industry. See investors use leverage by putting down as little cash as possible out of their pocket in order to secure ownership in a property that they will eventually rent out for positive cash flow or flip and sell for a profit in the future. On Twitter, the concept of leverage is soooo cool. See if I have only 500 followers, but one of my followers has 5000 followers, I can actually get my message out to all of their 5000 followers. It’s simple! All I need to do is to post a tweet that the person with 5000 followers thinks is great, and he/she will likely then “re-tweet” or forward if you will that same tweet from me to all THEIR followers. So instead of only getting my message (or advertisement) to 500 people, it has the possibility to get to 5500! Imagine how many people would get one of my tweets if every single one of my 500 followers re-tweeted my message to ALL of their followers! It would be massive viral exposure! Practice the Golden Rule though with re-tweets, treat others as you would like to be treated, or in this case tweeted. Re-tweet others content if you feel that it is good stuff. They will appreciate it and be more likely to reciprocate and re-tweet your good stuff.
Here are a few of the simple steps I took to make sure my first week was awesome.
First, I updated my profile and made sure it was completely filled out. I used my paint program to design a simple but very effective “custom background”. This custom background offers a couple benefits, it provides more information to people who are checking out my profile to see if I am a real person, one that they would like to follow back. Plus, it gives my profile and more polished and professional look, more so than if I had no background configured at all.
Next, I searched Twitter for people in my industry that have a big name, are “gurus” or who have a huge following, as well as people who have similar interests to me by searching using keywords. I then requested to follow these people. I went through each of their followers lists, and requested to be able to follow many of them. See if one of the experts was “home business” expert, I can reasonably assume that person is putting out great messages (or tweets, or content) to all of their followers who likely are interested in a Home Business. Either they have one or are looking for one. As a rule of thumb, as long as your profile page is set up properly (discussed above), then approximately 60% of those people should “follow” you back. This is how you begin to build your follower list and get your message and ads out to them.
Next, I searched for some great “content” or messages that I could send out as tweets. My tweets fall into 3 categories – enlighten, entertain, or educate. If all of my tweets fall into one of these categories, then likely the people following me will welcome my tweets as something useful. A lot of people on Twitter unfortunatley are just spamming in their tweets, and although the info is educational, it is done in poor taste. Twitter is first and foremost a social network, and people really do want to connect with you first as a real person, before being blasted with ads claiming how “great” their business opportunity or product or service is. I used sites like “Popurls.com” “stufftotweet.com” and “alltop.com” all which contain the most popular stories, articles, blogs, photos, and videos on the web currently. All I need to do copy the URLs (web addresses) to this content, and presto – I have stuff that most others will find enlightening, entertaining, and educational.
As a rule of thumb, if I send out 10 tweets, 9 of them are going to be to someone else’s content using the method described above. 1 of the 10, will be my own, personal, disguised content on my blog. So I am not sending out 1 message at a time telling people how I can help them, only 10% of what I am sending out leads people back to my blog. Yes, of course the blog is self-promotional, but only in that small links down in the content lead back to my lead capture page. I each and every tweet, I use a site like “budurl.com” or something similar to shorten the amount of characters in the URLs that I’m sending. Twitter only allows tweets that are 140 characters or shorter, so sites like budurl.com can take a URL that is 100 characters long and shorten them up to 20 or less. You must be able to get your message out in a clear and concise manner, and shortening URLs helps, and makes your tweets easier to read.
There are even ways to automate sending out several tweets at a time, and even ways to pre-schedule tweets to go out at some point in the future. Twitter is so popular that if you just send out one tweet at a time, that tweet is likely to be lost in the noise of everyone else tweeting. So a better strategy is to send out a “mass” of tweets all within a very short amount of time. Say 10 tweets within 5-7 minutes or so. Seeing your name and tweet appear on their homepage that many times within that short a time period will definitely get people’s attention. Don’t over do it though and be a spammer. People HATE spammers and Twitter is no exception. I’d say one batch of tweets in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening is plenty to start. Just like anything else, Twitter also has it’s peak times of usage and you want to be able to take advantage of that when you have the most exposure.
After less than one week on Twitter, I am following 1529 people and have 799 followers and have sent out 31 tweets…my blog has seen new traffic this week and my lead flow is up. Not bad for someone who had no clue just 7 days ago! SEO: Consider 5 Issues before Buying Article Submission Software
Posted on | January 11, 2010 | No Comments
One of the most important search engine optimization strategies that you can implement is writing articles and submitting them to the thousands of article directories for people to use on their websites. If you have not tried already, submitting to thousands of article directories can be a long and painful experience. One of the tools that is most useful in helping you get your articles out is Article Submission Software but be warned not all Article Submission Software is the same.
There are in fact five key issues you must consider before investing hundreds of dollars in Article Submission Software. The five core issues to consider are as follows:
1. Ability to Add New Directories to your Software
2.Ability to Have Independent Logins for Each Article Directory
3.Must Have the Ability to submit to a range of at Least Five Categories
4. The Ability to Automatically Submit Articles
5. Ability to Prevent a Submission If There is No Categories
I am sure you are quite aware of the dynamic change that occurs on the internet and how it is in a constant state of change and in the world of article directories this is an absolute. For more details go to www.huge-niche-keywords.com .The first issue that you must ensure your new article directory software is able to do is to add new article directories to your list of submission sites. Often article submission software will come with preset lists of article directories and for example they may come with 300 article directories programmed into the software. The problem with this is that you will find over a period of months that the operability of these article directories will change.
For example, when I first started using article submission software the tool I was using had roughly 300 article directories. With in 2 months of using this software over 60 of those directories became in-operable. This meant the software usefulness became less and less as time went on. Some of the other issues that you will find are that some article directories will not approve articles regularly or they may have a policy of only approving a certain number per month and if you are a regular writer you could find that your articles are not approved.
Non-approved articles are costing you money, so whilst the software may specify that it submits to 300 articles, in reality only 40 directories may approve your article in the first week and less and less approve it as time goes on. As such, the more article directories you submit to, the more likely it will show up in the directories and people will use it on their own websites. In the article directory world there are roughly three or four article directory engines and each one has its own issues.
Your article submission software must be able to work with all article directory types and an important aspect is to be able to have a unique login for each article directory. The reason you will need this is that some sites use a common login system rather than your email address which will be unique. Every article submission software system must have the ability to choose five categories in which an article could be submitted to. One of the things my team and I have found in surveying the thousands of article directories on the internet is that no two article directories have the same list of categories that you can submit your articles to. Because of this you need to purchase article submission software that allows you to choose up to five categories so that you have the greatest chance of finding a category automatically.
The next issue is an extension of the previous paragraph and that is, the software must skip the article submission process if it cannot choose or find an appropriate category. The quickest way to be banned from article directories is to submit your articles to the wrong the categories. It is better to not submit your article to the article directory than to submit it to the wrong category.
For more details go to www.thesearchengineprimer.com .The last and final issue that your article submission software should have is to be able to automatically submit your articles. If you can not submit your articles automatically then you will find that the process of article submission will be painful and long winded. What I have found in the past, is that if you do not automatically submit your articles, you will find after a while that your passion and desire for writing articles will wane simply because of the time that it takes to submit them.

Internet Article Marketing – Learn Internet Article Marketing
Posted on | January 3, 2010 | 1 Comment
Lots of people have heard about article marketing but do not really understand what it is. There are different ways article marketing can be used to help you.
The basic concept behind internet article marketing is writing content that is related to your website content, service, or product. Your next step is mass submission to hundreds of article directories. This can be done one at a time which is very time consuming or through software programs.
Because of the links in your author bio section or footer of the article, every article directory you submit to is linking back to you. While this creates a lot of one-way inbound links, you have to remember that those websites are not likely to be related to your product, service or website content.
It is key you get this concept. Those article directories are linked to thousands of websites all over the internet. Your article will be further diminished because other links will appear on the same page as your article in many circumstances.
Exclusive internet articles for serious marketers.
You need to provide references for your facts and acknowledged quotes to support your theories or opinions. It will also help you illustrate that the information is correct. These types of articles require more research because they need to be accurate.
Once you have the article written and posted into your website, take the link directly to the article page and start posting in forums and commenting on blogs that are related to the topic of your article. Use the link to that article page in your sig. line or as a reference if you find people discussing exactly what your article explains.
